DGS and SPE took students to Rus Formation outcrops in Dammam on a field trip led by DGS Field Trip Officer Abdulmajeed Alrefaei. After the outcrop stops, the group visited the Aramco Core Lab to examine core samples from the same formations.
Moving from rock face to laboratory showed how surface observations feed into reservoir-scale interpretation, giving participants hands-on experience of a real field-to-lab geoscience workflow.
